Jets | Denzel Mims likely to make noise as a rookie

New York Jets WR Denzel Mims might be held back a little by not having a true offseason program, but SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano believes he will be ‘a big contributor at some point in Year 1.’

Footballguys View: You could easily make the argument that Mims is the best receiver on the Jets roster. He can fly down the field and has some of the best concentration in his draft class. We’ll see how quickly he can translate his game.

Titans | Tennessee talking with Derrick Henry

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry’s agent has talked with the Titans multiple times over the last few weeks regarding a long-term contract for Henry, according to general manager Jon Robinson.

Footballguys View: Henry signed his franchise tag back in early April. He’s now on the books for a one-year, $10.2 million price tag. In mid-July there is a deadline for all franchise-tagged players to reach a new long-term deal. We’ll see if the Titans can get something done with Henry to keep him around for years.
