Raiders | Lynn Bowden briefly detained, released without charges

Las Vegas Raiders RB Lynn Bowden Jr. was staying with his son at the home of a family member that was raided by the Drug Enforcement Agency in Youngstown, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 10. Bowden was temporarily placed in handcuffs while the home was searched. Sources say undercover drug buys were made from the home, and the police found a number of firearms in the home. Bowden’s agency, Element Sports Group, released a statement saying their client was released free of charges, and no other people were charged after the search.

Redskins | Antonio Gibson could see variety of special work

Washington Redskins third-round pick RB/WR Antonio Gibson will be used as a returner and a blocker on special teams. ‘In an ideal setting, if you have a legitimate returner [Steven Sims] and your off-returner [Gibson], who is 30 pounds bigger than your returner, if he doesn’t get the ball he becomes a blocker,’ special teams coach Nate Kaczor said. ‘And he weighs 220 [pounds]. That’s a really good situation. If they don’t really want to kick it to one guy and they want to kick it to your other one and he’s really good, then you have a heck of a situation there.’
