Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz recently took part in a workout in Houston in which he threw passes to first-round pick Jalen Reagor, second-year WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside and veteran WR Marquise Goodwin, who was acquired via trade from the San Francisco 49ers during the draft.
Ravens | Lamar Jackson successful on play action
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson threw 11 touchdowns on play-action passes in 2019 and did not record any interception on those passes.
Jaguars | A.J. Cann likely top option at RG
Jacksonville Jaguars OG A.J. Cann probably will be the starting right guard this upcoming season since OG Ben Bartch did not have offseason workouts and likely would be behind the curve, in the opinion of JaguarsWire’s James Johnson.
Chargers | Alohi Gilman may make roster
Los Angeles Chargers S Alohi Gilman has a decent chance to make the final roster, but he likely will only be used on special teams.
Chargers | Roderic Teamer likely to make team
Los Angeles Chargers S Roderic Teamer should be able to make the final roster, in the opinion of ChargersWire’s Gavino Borquez. He likely will primarily be used on special teams but could also be used in the dime package.
Saints | Janoris Jenkins to start in 2020
New Orleans Saints CB Janoris Jenkins will be the starting cornerback opposite Marshon Lattimore this upcoming season, according to defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.
Vikings | Dalvin Cook wants extension
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook wants a contract extension and will skip all of the offseason meeting and training camp until he receives a reasonable extension, according to a source.
Footballguys View: Cook is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is on the books with a $2 million cap hit. He has not yet played a full 16-game season in three years, but Cook did get through 14 games in 2019…ending the year as a top-5 fantasy running back. The two sides have no further discussions on the schedule right now but they should be conversing before training camp.
Cardinals | Kyler Murray expected to work with teammates
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is expected to work out with teammates at some point this week, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
Footballguys View: Murray, like other quarterbacks, is going to organize some workouts to throw some passes and build chemistry for the 2020 season. He got a huge boost to the passing game with the trade for WR DeAndre Hopkins. Murray could be a top-tier fantasy quarterback this year, not only because of Hopkins and the others in the receiving corps, but also because of his athleticism and ability to hurt a defense on the ground.
Steelers | Diontae Johnson difficult to tackle
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson forced 18 missed tackles during the 2019 season, which tied for second in the NFL.
Footballguys View: Johnson was able to do this without QB Ben Roethlisberger for most of his rookie season in 2019. We’ll see if he can perform at an even higher level now that Roethlisberger is healthy and will be back out there slinging the rock. Johnson is a WR4 with plenty of upside for Fantasy GMs in 2020.
