Footballguys View: Ojemudia will be asked to be a starter for the Broncos ASAP. He played almost exclusively zone in college at Iowa and should have an easy transition in Vic Fangio’s ‘zone dog’ defense. Ojemudia tested like a man corner at the Scouting Combine but should be kept off the ball to help him out. He can watch the play unfold in front of him and does a good job of anticipating route trees.

Houston Texans fifth-round pick WR Isaiah Coulter signed his four-year rookie contract Tuesday, July 21, according to a source. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Footballguys View: There are some in the scouting community who compare Coulter’s game to that of former NFL WR Brandon Lloyd. Coulter has speed to get open with ease, then he can create more separation after the catch with his speed. At Rhode Island he produced against FCS-level competition but did play well when going up against larger FBS schools. We’ll monitor him closely in dynasty formats.

Carolina Panthers S Kenny Robinson signed a four-year rookie contract worth $3.62 million Tuesday, July 21.

Footballguys View: Robinson played for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL last season. He has good length and aggression for the position and is the rare rookie with professional experience. Robinson needs to get better at play recognition and run support if he wants to be the best pro he can be.

Carolina Panthers second-round pick S Jeremy Chinn signed a four-year rookie deal worth $5.24 million Tuesday, July 21.

Footballguys View: Chinn has great bloodlines as his uncle is Hall of Fame safety Steve Atwater (Broncos), and the rookie from Southern Illinois was one of the most versatile secondary players in the 2020 NFL draft. He’s strong and loves to initiate contact but sometimes overruns plays due to his aggression. Chinn is a ballhawk who recorded 31 pass breakups and 13 interceptions in four seasons of college ball.

Pittsburgh Steelers third-round pick LB Alex Highsmith signed his four-year rookie contract Tuesday, July 21. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Footballguys View: Stop what you’re doing and Google search Highsmith’s ‘spin-chop’ move as a pass-rusher. It’s unique but effective and you’ve never seen anything like it. Highsmith was seen as one of the ‘sleeper’ pass-rushing prospects in this draft class and the Steelers were happy to scoop him up in the third round. Highsmith could see the field as a rookie as a part-time player with a job of only getting after the quarterback.
