Buccaneers | Tyler Johnson signs rookie deal

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fifth-round draft choice WR Tyler Johnson signed a four-year contract with the Buccaneers Monday, July 20. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: Johnson is a classic NFL slot receiver, but Chris Godwin was outstanding in that role last and the Bucs might not use a slot receiver as much with Rob Gronkowski and a four deep tight end group. Johnson will likely be one of those receivers who is much more productive in college than the pros.

NFL | Antonio Brown done playing?

Free-agent WR Antonio Brown (Patriots) indicated on Twitter that he is done playing professional football.

Footballguys View: This isn’t the first time Brown has postured as if he was going to retire. One report by Jeremy Fowler indicated that Brown is bringing up retirement because he was close to settling the Britney Taylor case, which is what happened last year. His status as a late round flier is looking shakier as Brown’s instability is resurfacing.
