Jacksonville Jaguars fourth-round draft choice OG Ben Bartch signed a four-year contract with the Jaguars Friday, July 10. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys View: Bartch is the first Division III player David Caldwell has drafted with the Jaguars. He played tackle at St. John’s (Minnesota) but Jacksonville appears to be planning to start him out at guard behind AJ Cann. The Jaguars have signed six of their 12 picks, but have yet to get the signatures of first round picks CJ Henderson and K’Lavon Chaisson.
Eagles | Matt Pryor may start in 2020
Philadelphia Eagles OG Matt Pryor is considered the leading candidate for the starting right guard job this season with OG Brandon Brooks (Achilles) out for the season. Pryor is scheduled to work out with OT Lane Johnson this weekend.
Footballguys View: Larry Warford is a name to keep in mind, but the Eagles may want to see Pryor and their depth at guard before signing Warford. It’s also possible that the team could bring Jason Peters back to play left tackle and kick 2019 first-round pick Andre Dillard inside to guard if they don’t like what they see from Pryor.
