Falcons | Todd Gurley gets into the end zone

Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley rushed 14 times for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears and he added one catch for two yards on two targets.

Footballguys View: Gurley was being outplayed by Brian Hill at one point but had a strong second half to put up decent RB2 numbers. He’s probably just a flex play at best heading into a matchup at Green Bay with Hill showing he deserves more playing time.

Falcons | Matt Ryan doesn’t do much in Week 3

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan completed 19-of-38 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

Footballguys View: Ryan could have had a bigger day but the pass offense went into a shell when the Falcons went up 16 and he also lost Russell Gage during the game. We’ll see if Gage or Julio Jones can return for a Monday night game against the Packers. Ryan is a dicey play on the road either way.

Texans | Brandin Cooks quiet in Week 3

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks caught three passes for 23 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3. He was targeted five times during the game.

Footballguys View: Cooks had good numbers last week while Will Fuller languished with a hamstring issue but was a non-factor with Fuller back to full strength and Randall Cobb making some big plays in this one. He’s a boom/bust WR3/Flex heading into the matchup with Minnesota, but if he doesn’t do much in in Week 4, he’ll be droppable in short bench leagues.

Texans | Will Fuller catches TD pass

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller caught four passes for 54 yards and one touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3. He was targeted five times during the game.

Footballguys View: Fuller made it through the game healthy, although he wasn’t the clear #1 target for Deshaun Watson like he was in Week 1. He’ll be tough to leave on the bench against the Vikings next week.
