Chargers | Austin Ekeler not ruled out

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (hamstring) has not been ruled out of playing Sunday, Nov. 29, in the team’s Week 12 game against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Anthony Lynn said Friday, adding that he ‘has a chance.’ Lynn said Ekeler will be evaluated further Saturday.

Footballguys View: Consider Ekeler a what the heck flex or PPR RB2 if he can go on Sunday. The Chargers are likely to err on the side of holding him out, but you never know.

Panthers | Week 12 injury report for Carolina

Carolina Panthers OG Dennis Daley (concussion) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 12 versus the Minnesota Vikings. CB Donte Jackson (toe) also did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. RB Christian McCaffrey (shoulder), OG John Miller (knee, ankle) and OT Russell Okung (calf) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. S Sam Franklin (ankle) was limited in practice for a second straight day and is also listed as questionable. DE Marquis Haynes (shoulder), LB Tahir Whitehead (rib) and WR Brandon Zylstra (shoulder) continued to practice in full Friday, Nov. 27, and are listed as questionable. FB Alex Armah (ankle), QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) and WR D.J. Moore (shoulder) practiced in full all week and no longer appear on the injury report.

Footballguys View: Justin Jefferson should have a good matchup with Jackson out.

Chargers | Melvin Ingram, Casey Hayward out

Los Angeles Chargers DE Melvin Ingram (knee) and CB Casey Hayward (groin) on Friday, Nov. 27, were ruled out of the team’s Week 12 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Footballguys View: Stefon Diggs matchup gets easier with Hayward out and the Chargers pass rush will rely mostly on Joey Bosa with Ingram sidelined. Josh Allen should have less resistance against this undermanned Chargers defense.

Chargers | Kalen Ballage questionable for Week 12

Los Angeles Chargers RB Kalen Ballage (ankle, calf) is listed as questionable on the team’s Week 12 injury report.

Footballguys View: Austin Ekeler has a chance to play according to the team, so we could see any of four backs play for the Chargers on Sunday. If Ekeler is inactive and Ballage is active, Ballage would be the best play. If both are active, Ekeler. If neither is active, Troymaine Pope and Joshua Kelley would split the work at Buffalo.

Dolphins | Myles Gaskin in limbo for Week 12

Miami Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin (knee) still has a chance to play in Week 12 against the New York Jets, but head coach Brian Flores told reporters Friday, Nov. 27, that he needs to ‘watch the film’ before making a determination, according to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe.

Footballguys View: Gaskin shouldn’t be on any waiver wires, but he might not have value for this week’s matchup. We’ll have to wait until Sunday morning to know.
