Texans | Jordan Akins plays well in Week 11

Houston Texans TE Jordan Akins caught five passes for 83 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 11. He was targeted six times during the game.

Footballguys View: Akins should be a waiver pickup for anyone that is hurting at tight end. He and Darren Fells had been splitting the tight end snaps and targets, but Akins showed today he is clearly the better passing game threat. He’s a streamer on Thanksgiving against the Lions.

Texans | Brandin Cooks finishes with 85 yards

Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks caught four passes for 85 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 11. He was targeted five times during the game.

Footballguys View: Cooks had a touchdown called back by penalty or his day would have been bigger. He’ll be a must play on Thanksgiving against the Lions secondary that PJ Walker just lit up.

Falcons | Calvin Ridley flirts with triple digits

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley registered five grabs for 90 yards on nine targets in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints.

Footballguys View: Ridley’s foot was an issue coming into the week, but his fantasy production was not an issue coming out of it. He’ll be a strong WR2 start against the Raiders next week whether Julio Jones can go or not.

Falcons | Todd Gurley goes nowhere fast

Atlanta Falcons RB Todd Gurley rushed eight times for 26 yards in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints and he added just one grab for three yards on two targets.

Footballguys View: The Saints run defense is a tough draw as it is, and when you add in the loss of Julio Jones, it was clear Gurley was going nowhere. He’s not a clear RB2 start against Las Vegas next week unless Jones can play.

Texans | Duke Johnson held in check

Houston Texans RB Duke Johnson rushed for 15 yards on 10 carries against the New England Patriots in Week 11. He also caught three passes for 20 yards during the game.

Footballguys View: The Texans running game is doing nothing and Johnson isn’t being used heavily in the passing game. Even though he is the starter in a good matchup against the Lions on Thanksgiving, he’s just a what the heck flex.

Falcons | Matt Ryan picked off twice in road loss

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan completed 19-of-37 passes for 232 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints.

Footballguys View: Ryan was under pressure all day from the Saints defense and ineffective with Julio Jones on the sidelines for most of the game. He won’t be a viable play in 1QB leagues against the Raiders next week unless Jones can go.

Texans | Deshaun Watson accounts for three TDs

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson went 28-for-37 for 344 yards and two touchdowns against the New England Patriots in Week 11. He also rushed for 36 yards and one touchdown on six carries during the game.

Footballguys View: Watson was barely under pressure all day even though Laremy Tunsil was out. He is playing at top form going into a Thanksgiving game at Detroit.
