Buffalo Bills WR John Brown (ankle) is not expected to be activated in time to play in Week 16 against the New England Patriots, according to a source, which added Brown has a ‘better chance’ at returning in Week 17 versus the Miami Dolphins.

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins suffered a calf injury in Week 16 versus the Atlanta Falcons. The expectation is that Watkins will sit in Week 17 and be available for the team’s first playoff game in the Divisional Round after the Chiefs wrapped up the AFC’s only bye with their win over the Falcons.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) will not play in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) worked out ‘a little bit’ on Monday, Dec. 28, according to interim head coach Raheem Morris, who added the team will wait ‘until he is right’ but also said ‘if (Jones) is able to (play in Week 17), he will.’

Detroit Lions S Jayron Kearse was waived Monday, Dec. 28.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (leg) is dealing with a ‘lower leg injury’ and his status for Week 17 versus the Los Angeles Rams is uncertain, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Arizona Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (hip) is considered day-to-day with the hip injury that forced him to exit early in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
