Seahawks | Tyler Lockett signs extension

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett signed a four-year, $69.2 million extension Wednesday, March 31, that includes $37 million guaranteed.

Footballguys View: Coming off his first 100-catch season, Seattle wanted to wrap him up for the foreseeable future. Lockett and D.K. Metcalf give the Seahawks a great 1-2 punch at the wide receiver position. They still want to run the ball as much as possible, and that run-heavy approach does limit the fantasy value for the receivers. Lockett has a current ADP of 5.09 (WR23) in 12-team PPR leagues.

NFL | Kyle Pitts runs the 40

Florida TE Kyle Pitts ran the 40-yard dash at the Florida Pro Day Wednesday, March 31, and it was believed to be 4.44 seconds.

Footballguys View: Pitts is one of the best players in this draft class regardless of position. He’s a super-sized wide receiver who is going to be tough to cover for linebackers or safeties at the pro level. Even cornerbacks tasked with covering him will have trouble because of his size and ability to rip away passes. Pitts could be a top-10 pick in the draft and could have an immediate impact for his NFL team…making him quite fantasy relevant for 2021 and the future.

Buccaneers | Ke’Shawn Vaughn pegged for big year?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn is pegged to have a breakout year, according to head coach Bruce Arians. ‘Those guys are all here and know what the system is and the best players are going to play,’ Arians said. ‘Obviously we have two really, really good ones at that position and I really like Ke’Shawn Vaughn. I think that with an offseason he’s going to have a breakout year also. All of those roles will be defined by the time that we get to the last week of the preseason.’
