Redskins | Robert Griffin III wants to maximize each moment

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III wants to maximize each moment he has with his teammates in 2014, something he missed out on last offseason as he worked his way back from injury. ‘That’s what people don’t understand,’ Griffin said. ‘Being around my teammates, being able to work with them, condition with them and lift with them, just the locker room talk is all so important. It’s important to me.

Browns | Jordan Cameron changes position on twitter account

Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron changed his position on his twitter account to “pro bowl pass catcher” after the ruling that New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham was ruled a tight end in his arbitration hearing in part because of how he listed his position on social media.

Footballguys View: Green Bay Packers guard TJ Lang’s bio now says he is an “NFL QB” so if you didn’t know how silly that part of the ruling was, you do now. Teams and players will get any edge they can, so while nobody will mistake Lang for a quarterback, perhaps Cameron will argue that his “pro bowl pass catcher” bio will be worth more money. He can add “TE1 in fantasy” as far as we’re concerned. That’s got to be worth a few bucks.

NFL | Ryan Pickett expects to sign by training camp

Free-agent DE Ryan Pickett (Packers) said he expects to sign with a team by the start of training camp. Pickett would like to join a contender.

Footballguys View: Pickett was pretty awful for the Packers last season so to paraphrase one Judge Smails, he may get nothing and like it. If he ends up anywhere we think he’ll be back with his old team for a minimal deal.

Cowboys | Demarcus Lawrence learning in practice

Dallas Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence is learning from having to practice against pro-bowl OT Tyron Smith. “I feel like it’s helping me,” Lawrence said. “If you’re going against the best, you ain’t got no choice but to pick up your game and become the best. I feel like he’s helping me out a lot, and he’s getting me ready for the season.”

Giants | Adrien Robinson projected at starter

New York Giants TE Adrien Robinson is projected to be the starter, in the opinion of Dan Graziano of ESPN New York. Graziano speculates that Robinson appears to be the leading candidate at this point.

Footballguys View: Of course the real question is whether he will become fantasy relevant like Martellus Bennet was or a whole lot of nothing like last year’s model. We’re optimistic but not *that* optimistic and would only have him as bench depth as a TE3. He has speed and size but will need to show he can do anything with it before we get more excited.
