Unfortunately, the player those representatives were on hand to see didn’t work out. James (5-foot-10 1/2, 184 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.42 seconds. He also had a 10-foot broad jump. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. James had a good pro-day positional workout, displaying good recovery speed and instincts. He is a likely third-day selection (fifth- or sixth-rounder) in the 2014 NFL Draft.
