Khalil Mack‘s emphatic march toward a top-10 selection in the 2014 NFL Draft continues to gain steam. At Buffalo’s pro day on Tuesday, the outside linebacker put forth a tremendous workout, which was held indoors at the Buffalo Bills’ facility. Representatives from 32 NFL teams attended the pro day, and Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine and Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie were among the notable attendees. Southern Arkansas hosted a pro day that was attended by prospects from six different schools and held at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. on Monday. A total of 22 players participated at the pro day, which was attended by representatives from five NFL teams. Keaton Stigger (5-foot-11 1/4, 227 pounds), a linebacker from Henderson State, ran a 4.65 40-yard dash. There were 12 NFL teams represented at Duquesne’s pro day on March 3, which was indoors on a hard-surface track where five Duquesne players and 10 others players from area small colleges worked out in shorts. Dorian Bell, OLB (5-foot-11, 228 pounds) — Bell ran the 40-yard dash in 4.73 and 4.66 seconds. Duquesne didn’t have a place for prospects to do the shuttle runs or three-cone drill, so Bell will drive to Ohio State on Friday to perform those drills. Scouts from five NFL teams, as well as a coach from one — Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell — watched 18 players work out at Ole Miss’ pro day Monday. The workouts took place indoors and on field turf. Donte Moncrief, who participated at the NFL Scouting combine, was among the 18 players who worked out, but three others looked like they were good enough to bring to camp as free agents. Report: Austin Seferian-Jenkins shelved for pro day
Washington tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins won’t participate in Washington’s April 2 pro day workout due to pending surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot, according to FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt. Doctors at the NFL Scouting Combine discovered Seferian-Jenkins’ injury in Indianapolis last week, causing the former Huskies star to join a number of top tight ends who were unable to perform at their best at the event.
