Falcons | Atlanta showing interest in Kyle Pitts

Florida TE Kyle Pitts told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter that the Atlanta Falcons met with him twice over Zoom before his pro day Wednesday, March 31, and are scheduled to do so again.

Footballguys View: Every team should be interested in Pitts. He’s a super-sized wide receiver who plays tight end and creates nightmares for any defender tasked with covering him. Pitts could step in and start from day 1 in the NFL. He’s a top-5 talent in this draft class, and the Falcons may be eyeing him with the no.4 overall pick.

NFL | Ja’Marr Chase drops some jaws at pro day

Louisiana State University WR Ja’Marr Chase ran an unofficial 40-yard time of 4.38 seconds at his pro day Wednesday, March 31. Chase also reportedly recorded a 41-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot broad jump – almost identical numbers to those posted by DK Metcalf (40 1/2, 11-foot-2) and Julio Jones (40 1/2, 11-foot-3) at their respective NFL Combines.

Seahawks | Tyler Lockett signs extension

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett signed a four-year, $69.2 million extension Wednesday, March 31, that includes $37 million guaranteed.

Footballguys View: Coming off his first 100-catch season, Seattle wanted to wrap him up for the foreseeable future. Lockett and D.K. Metcalf give the Seahawks a great 1-2 punch at the wide receiver position. They still want to run the ball as much as possible, and that run-heavy approach does limit the fantasy value for the receivers. Lockett has a current ADP of 5.09 (WR23) in 12-team PPR leagues.
