Patriots | Cameron McGrone may not play in 2021

New England Patriots fifth-round draft pick LB Cameron McGrone (knee) is still recovering from the torn anterior crucial ligament he suffered Nov. 21 while playing for the University of Michigan, and there is a possibility he will not see the field in 2021, according to comments made by head coach Bill Belichick.’We’re not really sure what the expectation of availability is for him, but we’re prepared certainly to not have him available this year. There are no false expectations here. He should have a good recovery and be a good player; we’ll just have to see what the timing is on that,’ Belichick said.

Jets | Michael Carter a big play waiting to happen

New York Jets RB Michael Carter busted 29 runs of at least 20 yards over his final two seasons at North Carolina – the most in college football over that time – according to Pro Football Focus.

Footballguys View: Carter has a ton of energy when he runs the ball. It takes a small amount of space and time for him to get to top speed and attack a defense. Carter needs to improve his pass-protection ability if he wants to be on the field during passing downs. He’ll work into the mix with the Jets RBBC as a big-play option.

Falcons | No guarantees in Atlanta backfield

Atlanta Falcons RBs Mike Davis, Javian Hawkins, Caleb Huntley and Qadree Ollison are all expected to compete for touches in the backfield in 2021, according to comments made by running backs coach Desmond Kitchings. According to Tori McElhaney of The Athletic, Kitchens noted how competitive the running back group will be and that ‘the door is wide open’ for anyone to take over.
