San Francisco 49ers OG Aaron Banks may compete with OG Daniel Brunskill for the starting right guard job during training camp.
Buccaneers | Tampa drafts Kyle Trask
Florida QB Kyle Trask was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 64th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Vikings | Minnesota picks Kellen Mond
Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 66th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Mond is a player who reminds many in the scouting community of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. He’s an athletic quarterback with a good arm. Mond does not throw with anticipation and is more of a ‘pure sight’ thrower. He’ll work as a developmental quarterback behind Kirk Cousins.
Panthers | Carolina selects Terrace Marshall
Louisiana State WR Terrace Marshall was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the 59th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Rams | Tutu Atwell selected by LA Rams
Louisville WR Tutu Atwell was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 57th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Seahawks | D’Wayne Eskridge joins Seattle
Western Michigan WR D’Wayne Eskridge was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 56th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Steelers | Pittsburgh drafts Pat Freiermuth
Penn State TE Pat Freiermuth was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 55th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Freiermuth is a big-bodied tight end who can box out smaller defenders. He gets called ‘Baby Gronk’ by some on Draft Twitter but that’s a lofty comparison. Freiermuth is your classic ‘Y’ tight end as he can thrive as a blocker and a receiver. He’s used to a heavy target load, and the Steelers would be wise to integrate him fully into the offense.
Cardinals | Rondale Moore selected by Cards
Purdue WR Rondale Moore was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 49th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Moore is one of the most explosive players in this draft. He’s not a big wide receiver but he is quick, has tremendous burst and can run by defenders to make them look silly. In addition to being moved around the formation on offense, Moore is a dangerous return man as well.
Broncos | Denver adds Javonte Williams
North Carolina RB Javonte Williams was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 35th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Williams is a powerful back who runs with natural violence and instinct for the position. He’ll work in tandem with Melvin Gordon, but Williams could take over in the backfield because he’s an upgrade over the veteran. Fantasy GMs should love Williams if he gets the lion’s share of the workload.
Jets | Elijah Moore selected by Jets
Mississippi WR Elijah Moore was selected by the New York Jets with the 34th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Moore is a fine pick, reminding some in the scouting community of a supercharged Randall Cobb. He’s a chess piece you can move around the formation and attack a defense. Moore is quick, fast and fearless running routes over the middle.
