Packers | Rashod Bateman of interest to Green Bay?

University of Minnesota WR Rashod Bateman has spent a fair amount of time during the pre-draft process with the Green Bay Packers, who are among several teams to do a lot of research on him, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Footballguys View: The Packers should finally draft a wide receiver for Aaron Rodgers this year in the first round. Last year, in the greatest wide receiver class in NFL history, the Packers selected quarterback Jordan Love in the first round. Bateman would make a lot of sense for them. He is a savvy route runner and knows how to set up defenders to create separation. While not the quickest or the fastest, Bateman is not afraid of contact or catching passes over the middle of the field.

Patriots | New England setting its sights on Justin Fields?

Ohio State QB Justin Fields may be a target in a trade-up scenario for the New England Patriots, according to a report by the Athletic’s Jeff Howe. Per Howe, the Patriots have reportedly spoken to the Atlanta Falcons about the No. 4 overall selection, which serves as a ‘strong indication they’ve found conviction with at least one of the top five quarterback prospects, and ‘word is that they think highly’ of Fields.
