Broncos | Teddy Bridgewater an option for DEN?

Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater could be a trade target for the Denver Broncos if the Broncos do not take a quarterback during the 2021 NFL Draft, in the opinion of NBC Sports’ Peter King.

Footballguys View: If the Broncos do not select a quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, then adding a guy like Bridgewater would make sense. Bridgewater has a history with new Broncos GM George Paton as he was with the Vikings when they moved back into the first round for him. He could be added for a Day 3 pick (most likely) and push Drew Lock for the starting job this season.

49ers | Jimmy Garoppolo could be available

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo could become ‘more available than he has been’ and possibly be acquired for less than a first-round pick, in the opinion of NBC’s Peter King.

Footballguys View: That sounds about right. The 49ers have made the move to the no.3 pick and that’s where they will be targeting a guy like Trey Lance (North Dakota State). Garoppolo could be kept as a veteran mentor for Lance, or the team could just throw the rookie into the fray on day one. Either way, Garoppolo’s days are numbered in San Francisco.

Patriots | NE after Justin Fields?

Ohio State QB Justin Fields could have the New England Patriots willing to trade up in the NFL draft to select him, according to sources.

Footballguys View: The Patriots are sitting at no.15 overall in the first round and there is little chance that Fields makes it that far. They need to move up, likely in front of Denver at no.9 overall if they want Fields to be their guy.
