Browns | Door open for Sheldon Richardson

Free agent DT Sheldon Richardson, released by the team earlier this month, could be re-signed by the team, general manager Andrew Berry said Friday, April 23. ‘I think it is certainly possible,’ Berry said in a news conference. ‘Obviously, it is something that has to work for all parties involved, but we like Sheldon. He was a productive member of our team and a big part of our success last year. If that ends up being the right fit, that alignment is certainly something we would welcome.’

Panthers | No decision on Sam Darnold’s option

Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold has a fifth-year option in his contract, but general manager Scott Fitterer said the team will wait until after the 2021 NFL Draft to decide if they will exercise the option.

Footballguys View: The Panthers have time to make the decision. We’ll see who falls to them in the first round as there are rumblings they could still be in the quarterback market. That seems a bit much provided they traded for Darnold but in the NFL you never know.
