NFL | DeVonta Smith measurements

Alabama WR DeVonta Smith measured 6-foot 1/4, 166 pounds at the medical combine earlier this month, according to sources.

Footballguys View: The weight for Smith is a concern for some in the scouting community. He’s super fast but he can get pushed off his route by more physical corners. That’s the type of coverage he should see on a weekly basis in the NFL. Smith is incredibly gifted as a receiver, but he could stand to gain around 10 pounds of muscle in an NFL weight program.

NFL | Zach Wilson measured at combine

Brigham Young QB Zach Wilson measured 6-foot-2, 210 pounds at the medical combine earlier this month.

Footballguys View: Wilson is likely to be the no.2 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. He could bulk up a little bit and likely will in an NFL weight program. Wilson has a big arm and can make all the throws required in the NFL. He’s a scrambler and can be dangerous with his legs as well. Wilson gets comparisons to Patrick Mahomes but those are a bit outlandish for what should be obvious reasons (very few if any players in NFL history are like Mahomes).

Cardinals | No decision from Larry Fitzgerald

Free-agent WR Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals) has talked with Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury about various things, but Fitzgerald still has not indicated if he will continue his playing career.

Footballguys View: The Cardinals will wait for Fitzgerald as he continues to contemplate his future. There’s even a chance Fitzgerald could reunite with Bruce Arians with the Buccaneers if he continues to play. We’ll see what the future has in store for the future Hall of Fame wide receiver.
